SHAPE (Student High Altitude Project for Education) - a project which originated in Medesano and now involves a network of four schools in the Province of Parma whose objective is to launch a small probe into space to collect scientific data - is meeting with great success and is attracting a great deal of interest.

The driving forces behind this initiative are Marco Bastoni and Paolo Leoni of iSolutions, engineers and IT developers by profession, and amateur astronomers by passion. Together with the volunteer association "Il Cecalibro" of Medesano (Parma), they are leading a group of students in the construction of a probe which at the end of spring will be launched to a height of 30,000 meters to collect data and images.

It is an ambitious and exciting initiative that combines scientific investigation with promotion of the students' personal growth: their ability to engage and develop problem-solving and communication skills and to participate in teamwork will be essential to the outcome of the project.

Shape is one of the many local initiatives that iSolutions, directly or indirectly (as in this case), supports and promotes: a commitment that aims to cultivate, inspire and also challenge the minds of the younger generations in order to help them develop an innovative vision which is open to the future.
